John Mackenzie Pre-Primary Class

John Mackenzie Pre-Primary school

The John Mackenzie Pre-Primary School recently opened in January 2016. The Pre-Primary consists of two classes, the Tiny Tadpoles class which is for the younger children aged 3 to 4 years old. The Leaping Frogs class, which is for the older children aged 4 to 5 years old. Each class has a head teacher who is handpicked for John Mackenzkie Pre-Primary and is assisted by two teacher-aides.

The Pre-Primary has a separate uniform to the John Mackenzie Primary School. This is a blue T-shirt with the Pre-Primary logo on it. There is also a fleece jumper for the colder days. The T-shirt or jumper may be worn with your choice of shorts, longs or skirt and a comfortable pair of shoes.

The Pri-Primary starts at 7:30am and ends at 12:15pm. In that time the children do structured work, play, swimming (in summer) or PE (in winter), library, music (whiteboards) and many other activities. Your child must bring a healthy snack and juice to eat at break time, clean set of clothes in his/her bag every day. All items belonging to your child should be clearly marked.

We like to have an open door policy with our parents and love for them to pop in and chat about their children’s progress, concerns or any issues that arise. Parents are most welcome to come and look at their children’s work in the classroom.
